GRACE AND PEACE!

Welcome to a word from Scripture.  As a song says, "His voice Makes the difference" ("when He speaks He relieves my troubled soul"), you will need to hear from above, our heavenly Father.  Take time to listen to His Word and you will learn to live in the Shalom of God — wholeness!

To the thirsty:  Jesus offers the water of life!

To the hungry: Jesus is manna from heaven!

To the timid:  God says 'Fear not!'

These are but a few examples of the resources God has for those who face crisis moments in life — God has the solution for every ailment that mankind faces, big or small.  If you reach out to Jesus by faith, just one 'word' from Him will be adequate to meet your very need.  An example can be seen from the faith of a centurion in Luke 7:1-10.  Jesus did not even have to enter the home of this centurion, because faith has touched Him.  In another instance, in the midst of a jostling crowd Jesus asked: 'Who touched me?'  Jesus knew who touched Him by faith and transferred His power, but the question was posed for the benefit of the listeners, so they may know power has gone out of Jesus to meet the need of the woman who touched Him in faith.  This story is recorded in Luke 8:43-48.

Jesus can calm the storm by simply commanding it (Matthew 8:23-27).

Jesus can speak SHALOM into your soul.  Would you like the real peace that delivers you from sin and guilt?  Would you like to hear the words: go in shalom?  Then humble yourself and call on Him with all your heart;  just as He forgave the sinful woman in Luke 7:36-50, He is ready to pronounce to you: "Your faith has saved you; go in shalom."

Peace!

The picture above with the cross standing majestically in a serene surrounding reminds us of the inevitability of physical death, but that Jesus Christ has overcome death by His resurrection.  During the Second World War the Japanese and the Allied forces (British) fought a fierce battle in Kohima the Capital city of Nagaland.  This cemetary was built by the British.  As they say, the Brits brought civil administration and the Americans delivered the Gospel — Nagaland is one success story of the American Baptist Mission.

The Second World War is history and now we love Japanese, British, Americans, Indians, just the same — in Christ!

The bend here is a portion of the National Highway 39 between Dimapur and Kohima.  Nagaland receives plenty rain and the street looks wet and fresh — I can almost smell the vegetation, because I am from there.  Home Sweet Home!
